Which face shapes can it compare?
The detector compares six educational contour profiles: Oval, Round, Square, Heart, Diamond and Oblong. It shows the closest match and a second plausible match when neighboring profiles are difficult to separate.
How the estimate works
MediaPipe landmarks provide repeatable image-plane measurements. The tool compares relative widths instead of using a random score. Landmark 10 is an upper-forehead point, not a detected hairline, and the result is not a measurement of three-dimensional bone structure.
Photo guidance and limitations
Use one level, front-facing face in even light. Hair, expression, camera angle and lens distortion can change the visible contour. The result is an educational styling reference, not an identity, health or beauty judgment.
